We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our Sand and Gravel Division.
Carver Companies has quarry locations in Schoharie, Johnstown, Coeymans, Ashland, and Halfmoon NY.
Job
Responsibilities:
Travel to the above location to collect samples from various quarry locations and transport them to the lab for testing.
Conduct thorough inspections of stone products to ensure compliance with quality assurance guidelines.
Implement and maintain quality control processes to guarantee the highest standards in production.
Grade materials in accordance with New York State DOT Specifications, ensuring precision and accuracy.
Engage with Operations and Sales teams to understand and communicate specific client requirements.
Work closely with Foreman and Plant personnel to ensure materials align with project specifications.
Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance production processes.
Assist in picking up and delivering parts as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
Willingness to work flexible hours based on operational needs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications a plus.
Prior experience working in Stone Quarries.
Experience in Quality Control within a similar industry.
Ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, carrying, and working in an outdoor environment.
Skills:
Familiarity with MSHA Standards Strong attention to detail and accuracy in quality assessments.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
Familiarity with New York State DOT specifications.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
